Cara is the newly opened hotel in Los Angeles, a true hidden gem in plain sight located in Hollywood at the foothills of Griffith Park. Cara is the Gaelic word for “friend,” because that’s what the hotel wants their guests to feel like. To give them a sense of comfort and warmth through beautiful thoughtful design.
The design is all about ‘laidback California cool’. There’s a breezy courtyard with centuries-old olive trees and palms, and calming reflecting pool in the middle of the courtyard.
Guest rooms, with their herringbone floors, linens, and simple cream chairs, embody warm minimalism. With breezy patios and private courtyard balconies, the aesthetic point was to bring the outside in.
Elegant and restrained Cara’s restaurant is “hyper-seasonal” it means that the menu doesn’t just change every season, but every few weeks. All their produce is sourced from a biodynamic farm in San Gabriel Valley.
